SpecialDayVehicles.co.uk aims to provide a first class 'joined-up' user experience for both 'Clients' & 'Vehicle Owners', we strive to achieve this by providing a combination of a stable, responsive web platform & related online services.
For the purpose of this document we categorise all users into the following:
- 'Clients' - Members of the public seeking vehicle hire in the United Kingdom
- 'Vehicle Owners' - Individuals & companies who offer vehicle hire services in the United Kingdom
This document relates to Terms & Conditions for 'Clients'. If you are a 'Vehicle Owner', please read our 'Vehicle Owner' Terms & Conditions.
2. User Accounts
User Account sign-up is open to all residents in the United Kingdom over the age of 18.
It's very important that the information provided by 'Clients' is accurate and kept up to date. Please contact us if you are unsure about how to answer a question on the account signup page before creating an account. The website operator reserves the right to limit or permanently remove a user account with or without prior warning.
3. Obtaining quotes
We invite 'Clients' to submit quote requests using our online platform. This process allows 'Clients' to obtain accurate quotes based on their vehicle hire requirements.
It's very important that the information provided at the quote request stage is accurate as Inaccurate information may lead to inaccurate quotes. SpecialDayVehicles.co.uk is not responsible for financial loss or service delivery shortfalls.
Each quote request is manually processed by 'Vehicle Owners', as a result we ask 'Clients' to limit the number of quote requests they submit. Whilst there is no fixed limit of quote request submissions, 'Clients' deemed to be excessively submitting quote requests will have their account limited. In the unlikely event this happens, we will notify the 'Client' by email with our justification for taking this action. Continued abuse may lead to a 'Client's' account being permanently being removed.
4. Contacting Vehicle Owners
By contacting vehicle owners you understand and agree to the following:
- The information provided on vehicle profiles has not been reviewed or verified
- No checks have been carried out to ensure that the vehicle or driver advertised on vehicle profiles meet the legal requirements to offer any services advertised
- SpecialDayVehicles.co.uk is not responsible for booking arrangements, this includes booking dates and prices. Booking arrangements are the responsibility of the vehicle owner
- SpecialDayVehicles.co.uk is unable to get involved in disputes that may arise between you and the vehicle owner
5. Booking Vehicle Hire
SpecialDayVehicles.co.uk does not own or operate any of the vehicles listed on our platform. We do not check or verify any information provided by 'Vehicle Owners'. It is the sole responsibility of 'Clients' to ensure the vehicle hire services being offered by the 'Vehicle Owner' meets their expectations.
SpecialDayVehicles.co.uk does not offer a vehicle hire booking process, as a result booking needs to be completed directly between 'Clients' & 'Vehicle Owners'. SpecialDayVehicles.co.uk will never directly ask you for payment for vehicle hire. As payment is made directly to 'Vehicle Owners' the only requests for payment should come from your appointed 'Vehicle Owner'.
SpecialDayVehicles.co.uk recommends all 'Clients' conduct their own independent research into 'Vehicle Owners' and their vehicles before booking. SpecialDayVehicles.co.uk cannot be held responsible for any financial loss or service shortfalls incurred as a result of booking a vehicle listed on our platform.
We aim to resolve any disputes which arise quickly and to the satisfaction of all parties involved. Please note, we are unable to mediate disputes between Vehicle Owners & Clients. This includes contractual and payment disputes - Disputes of this nature need to be resolved between Vehicle Owners & Clients.
7. Downtime clauses and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
SpecialDayVehicles.co.uk is still evolving, and we need the flexibility to occasionally make changes to our platform and services. We will try to give notice of these changes, but you should follow the @spedayvehiclesTwitter account for updates. The website operator makes no guarantee to the availability of the service, unexpected changes (or even withdrawal of the service in its entirety).
8. Rate limits and fair use
A small number of users are responsible for generating large volumes of traffic on our network, which can impact the service we offer to our other clients. Our fair usage policy is designed to ensure that all our clients receive a fast and reliable service.
If in our reasonable opinion, you are abusing the service in any way, such as exceeding fair use policy, we may ask you to moderate your behaviour - and in extreme cases, we may limit the speed of, or block your access to our data services.
You will be notified by email if you are exceeding our fair use policy.
